The Wylie Independent School District is a public school district based in the far southern portion (often called Wylie) [1] of Abilene, Texas, United States. In order to avoid confusion with the Wylie Independent School District in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex suburb of Wylie , the district is commonly referred to as Abilene Wylie.
