Hayden Knight (born March 15, 1957, in Port of Spain, Trinidad) is a retired Trinidad-American soccer defender and current high school soccer coach. He earned three caps with the United States men's national soccer team in 1984.
Knight transferred to play for the South Carolina Gamecocks. [13] In week 10 of the 2024 season, he notched seven tackles in a 28-7 win over Vanderbilt. [14] In the 2024 regular-season finale, Knight intercepted quarterback Cade Klubnik with 12 seconds remaining to help the Gamecocks seal a rivalry win over Clemson.
He began his high school career with La Salle Academy in Manhattan, New York. As a junior, Bouknight averaged 17.4 points per game, leading his team to the New York Federation Class B state championship , and was named tournament most valuable player (MVP). [ 4 ]
