Into the Okavango is a 2018 American National Geographic documentary film written, directed and produced by Neil Gelinas. [1] [2] It focuses on a team of modern-day explorers who go for a 1500 mile, four-month expedition through Angola, Botswana and Namibia to save the Okavango River that joins the Okavango Delta.
This formed the basis of the 2018 documentary film Into the Okavango, in which she appears. [2] Costa was the African winner of the United Nations Environment Programme Young Champions of the Earth award in 2019 for her advocacy to protecting the Okavango Delta.
