Dunwoody Village is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Newtown Square, a western suburb of Philadelphia.The community is built on the grounds of an 83-acre (34 ha) campus that has a rich history of family ownership which reaches back to the time of the American Revolution.
Benjamin remained at his father's home, and eventually took over the homestead. He married Tryal Morehouse on October 23, 1745. William Gaylord died October 25, 1743, at the age of 73. His grave, and that of Mrs. Gaylord were the first ones in a cemetery that had been laid out about half a mile south of the Gaylord home.
Lindenshade, Wallingford, Pennsylvania (1873, demolished 1940), was the Wallingford country house and farm of Shakespearean scholar Horace Howard Furness (1833–1912) and family. The house's design is attributed to his brother, architect Frank Furness. It was expanded numerous times, and demolished in 1940.
