The Southern Rim and Indian Trails run along the gorge's wooded rim, while the Gorge Trail is closest to the stream and runs over, under and along the park's 19 waterfalls by way of stone bridges and more than 800 stone steps. The trails connect to the Finger Lakes Trail, an 800-mile (1,300 km) system of trails within New York state. [3]
Lucifer Falls, a 115-foot-tall (35 m), multi-tiered cascading waterfall, is a short hike from the western portion of the park. Views of Lucifer Falls can be found along the gorge trail, in addition to overlooks along the rim trail. The Finger Lakes Trail skirts the southern edge of the park.
The primary attractions of the park are the hiking trails with views of a stream and five waterfalls, in addition to the swimming pond, made by damming the stream. [5] It also features a replica of President Millard Fillmore's boyhood log cabin, as the park is about five miles (8 km) from the former president's birthplace.
