New Hampshire Route 125 is a 51.994-mile-long (83.676 km) north–south state highway in Rockingham, Strafford and Carroll counties in southeastern New Hampshire. The southern terminus is in Plaistow at the Massachusetts state line, where the road continues south into Haverhill as Massachusetts Route 125 .

In 1996, PetSmart, Inc. acquired Sporting Dog Specialties and its subsidiary State Line Tack for $45 million mostly paid in company stock, and opened more than 160 full-size (about 3,000 square feet) equine departments inside PetSmart stores. The Plaistow store moved to Salem, New Hampshire, expanding to over 10,000 square feet (930 m 2).

[10] [11] Known as Balostret in the 1371 Calendar of Inquisitions Miscellaneous, Balaam / ˈ b eɪ l ə m / Street is one of the oldest roads in Plaistow and is probably named after de Balun, though some argue its namesake is in fact a Walter Balame.
