The list of the tallest buildings and structures in China encompasses a compilation of remarkable structures throughout the mainland and the special administrative region of Macau. These structures are distinguished by their towering heights, measuring at least 250 meters (820 feet) or more.
This list does not include nonbuilding structures, such as the 604 m (1,982 ft) Canton Tower in Guangzhou, which despite being the second tallest structure in China, is actually an observation tower. Of the 106 buildings in this list, 21 are in Shenzhen, 13 are in Guangzhou, 9 are in Shanghai, 7 are in Hong Kong and 2 are in Beijing.
The structure is unstable, and required the author to include workarounds in subsequent novels set on it. In the manga Blame! the megastructure is a vast and chaotic complex of metal, concrete, stone, etc., that covers the Earth and assimilates the Moon, and eventually expands to encompass a volume greater than the orbit of Jupiter.
