The Church of St James, Twickenham, is a Roman Catholic church at 61 Pope's Grove, Twickenham, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is dedicated to St James the Apostle. [1] It is a building of Townscape Merit. The church was opened in 1885 by Cardinal Henry Edward Manning and consecrated by the Cardinal in 1887. [2]
All Hallows Twickenham is a Grade I listed [7] church and parish of the Church of England in Twickenham, London. It incorporates the tower of All Hallows Lombard Street and is prominently south of a major road of west London, near Twickenham Stadium , specifically the Chertsey Road (A316) .
The church stands on the site of an earlier one and incorporates its 15th-century medieval tower. On 9 April 1713 the ancient church's 14th-century nave collapsed. The painter Godfrey Kneller was a churchwarden of St Mary's at the time and was active in the plans for reconstruction in the Neo-classical style by the local architect John James.

The church's founder was Lady Amelia Shaw, second wife of Sir Robert Shaw, whose schoolroom (the site of the current church hall) was registered for public worship in 1835. The first chapel was built in 1844 and the premises were significantly rebuilt and enlarged in 1866.
