The first season of The Mole aired on ABC in 2001. It was produced by Stone Stanley Entertainment and was released to DVD by Eagle Rock Entertainment on March 8, 2005. The season was hosted by news reporter Anderson Cooper and featured American contestants; it was filmed mainly in France, Monaco, and Spain.
Season 2 of The Mole was subtitled The Next Betrayal. Fourteen civilian contestants, one of whom was the Mole, competed over the course of 13 episodes. The first three episodes aired September 21 to October 12, 2001, before going on hiatus until the next summer, starting again from the first episode on May 24, 2002.
The Mole's Notes: The mole left the same note at the golf course and the beach. At the end of both cutscenes, a child's buggy and a golf buggy are shown. In episode 6, David's nickname is clearly shown as "Buggy". Episode 4 Elimination: David is seen wearing his bedtime slippers. Therefore, he knew he would survive that night's elimination.
