The Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is a hotel located adjacent to the Disney Springs complex located on Walt Disney World Resort property in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The 23-acre (9.3 ha) hotel, which opened on November 23, 1983, is among seven hotels that make up the Disney Springs Resort Area .
Marriott's Orlando World Center opened on March 24, 1986. At the time it was the largest hotel in Florida, and it is now the largest Marriott in the world. [2] The 2,008-room, 28-story building contains a nine-story lobby atrium, 38,000-square-foot (3,500 m 2) and also has the largest pillar-free ballroom in the world featuring 105,000 square feet (9,800 m 2) of meeting space.
The hotel opened on November 1, 1986 as The Peabody Orlando, being a brand extension of the original Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. [ 1 ] In 2010, a $450 million renovation of the hotel added a 31-story tower that doubled the number of rooms from 891 to 1641 and added a resort pool complex. [ 2 ]

It is one of seven resorts in the Disney Springs Resort Area not owned or operated by Disney. The hotel is connected to Disney Springs by pedestrian skybridges, as well as a shuttle service to all the Disney Parks. [1]
The original hotel opened on July 7, 1999, [18] and was branded the "Holiday Inn Family Suites". At an October 7, 2004 press conference in New York City, [19] Holiday Inn and Nickelodeon announced a partnership and renovation of the hotel, which would transform it into the Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn.
