  2. Confused about App Library vs. Custom app folders : r/ipad -...

    www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/pspx0h/confused_about_app...

I use App Library as a quick way of accessing an app I want to multitask with from the dock. I love the way the larger iPad screen lets all folders show up on one screen). App library = how apple chooses to organize your apps. You would typically access via search. app folders = how you want to organize your apps.

  3. Is there a way to get rid of "Suggestions" folder in App Library?

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/is-there-a-way-to-get-rid-of...

With 14.2, I now see a "Suggestions" folder in App Library. In doing some searching about this, it looks like it should have been there all along but I never saw it until I updated to 14.2 today. I already use the "Siri Suggestions" medium sized widget on my home screen, so "Suggestions" in App...

  4. App Library: I hate it - MacRumors Forums

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/app-library-i-hate-it.2254804

The App Library has scattered these all over the place. Some in “finance”. Some in “social”, even one in “shopping”. It’s pure hit and miss where they are located and can’t be changed. Madness. [automerge]1600329551 [/automerge] meduk1 said: I really like it, much cleaner than before.

  5. open (macOS) Photos library (on external SSD) on iPad Pro

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/open-macos-photos-library-on...

But it was much worse than that. The iPad Photos app didn’t even offer to import the photos. The Files app did recognize the macOS Photos library. But it treated it as a simple folder. IOW the iPad Files app displayed the macOS Photos library like you would see when you Show Package Contents in the Finder.

  6. iPad OS 14: App Library missing - MacRumors Forums

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/ipad-os-14-app-library...

macrumors 68000. Jul 3, 2015. 1,529. 936. Aug 13, 2020. #7. It’s strange that Apple decided to separate the 2 OS to make the iPad more complete, but it’s clear they put way more effort on iOS 14 than iPadOS 14. This year iPadOS feels like a regression compared to iOS. No back tap, no app library... practically feels like iPadOS 13.

  7. App Library for iPad? : r/ipad - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/jtvp7o/app_library_for_ipad

I was just using my iPad (Pro 2020 11”) and a message came up saying “Welcome to app library, a new way to organise your apps”, as far as I know, iPadOS does not have any app library. Could this mean its coming soon? Sadly I didn’t take a screenshot but I will if it happens again. More likely it’s a bug. I think if they were gonna add ...

  8. Why no App Library? : r/ipad - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/iwtfrb/why_no_app_library

Eh, I’m not going to die without it but I’m a fan of the empty Home Screen and would rather be able to truly hide the apps as opposed to throw them all in the dock or have random storage pages. It’s a small thing but sorta off that they have it for the phone and chose not to have the iPad get that ability. 4. Reply.

  9. YouTube iPad app- Library button keeps disappearing : r/youtube -...

    www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/179gjgz/youtube_ipad_app...

This is only happening on my 2nd gen iPad Pro. Not the TV, Mac or iPhone. I think I found a workaround: Go to YouTube via Safari. Select the Playlist from there. If set up that way, the iPad will switch to the YouTube app and show the selected Playlist. 1. Award.

  10. Do we really need the App Library in two places on the iPad?

    www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/o27kb8/do_we_really_need...

But for actually searching for apps I use universal search. Get that App Library view out of my way. I don’t need to see a algorithmically generated view of apps in folders. Makes sense for iPhone, not on ipad. Which leads me to another point. In general i think iPadOS is a great step forward for iPad. But the homesceen changes by and large, SUCK
