Area 10 differs from the adjacent Brodmann 9 in that the latter has a more distinct layer Vb and more prominent layer II. Neighbouring Brodmann area 11 compared to area 10 has a thinner layer IV with more prominent layers Va, Vb and II. [3] Area 10 in humans has the lowest neuron density among primate brains. [3]
A Brodmann area is a region of the cerebral cortex, in the human or other primate brain, defined by its cytoarchitecture, or histological structure and organization of cells. The concept was first introduced by the German anatomist Korbinian Brodmann in the early 20th century. Brodmann mapped the human brain based on the varied cellular ...
The orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) is a prefrontal cortex region in the frontal lobes of the brain which is involved in the cognitive process of decision-making.In non-human primates it consists of the association cortex areas Brodmann area 11, 12 and 13; in humans it consists of Brodmann area 10, 11 and 47.
The dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC [1] [2] or DMPFC [3] [4] is a section of the prefrontal cortex in some species' brain anatomy. It includes portions of Brodmann areas BA8 , BA9 , BA10 , BA24 and BA32 , [ 5 ] although some authors identify it specifically with BA8 and BA9 .

Brodmann area 1, 2, and 3 in the postcentral gyrus of the parietal lobe (the somatosensory region) Brodmann area 4 in the precentral gyrus of the frontal lobe (the primary motor area) Brodmann area 17 and 18 in the occipital lobe (the primary visual areas). His work to characterize brain cytoarchitecture was strongly influenced by Oskar Vogt ...
It is the 25th "Brodmann area" defined by Korbinian Brodmann. BA25 is located in the cingulate region as a narrow band in the caudal portion of the subcallosal area adjacent to the paraterminal gyrus. The posterior parolfactory sulcus separates the paraterminal gyrus from BA25. Rostrally it is bound by the prefrontal area 11 of Brodmann. [1]
