Sir Panambur Raghavendra Rau, IAAS (24 May 1889 – 23 January 1942) [1] was an Indian civil servant. [2]He was born in Panambur in 1889. He studied at Kundapur High School where he won the M.R.R.Y. Medal for standing first in the Presidency Matriculation Examination in 1904.
B. N. Rau was born during the late British Raj on 26 February 1887 in a well-educated and prosperous Hindu Saraswat Brahmin family. [5] His father Benegal Raghavendra Rau was an eminent doctor. Rau graduated from the Canara High School, Mangalore (Ancient Tulunad Head quarters), topping the list of students of the entire Madras Presidency.
