The Cuban pine forests are a tropical coniferous forest ecoregion on the Caribbean islands of Cuba and Isla de la Juventud. They cover an area of 6,400 km 2 (2,500 sq mi), occurring in separate sections in eastern Cuba and western Cuba and Isla de la Juventud. [2]
The consejo popular is in the east of the Pinar del Río Province. It is located 22 km north-east of Los Palacios, in the Vuelta Abajo area. It borders the consejos populares Entronque de Palacios to the east and Paso Quemado to the south-east. Pinar del Río is 56 km (by road) to the south-west. [2]
