Second Samurai is a video game released for the Amiga in 1993. It is the sequel to the 1991 game First Samurai . A Mega Drive version was later released in 1994 which features different graphics, sound and level design to the Amiga version.
The game takes place in the late Edo period.The player starts as a starving rōnin who collapsed at the gate of a famous trading island-city called Amahara. Soon thereafter, a little girl shares her riceball with the ronin, giving him (or her, depending on the player's choice) energy.
Samurai II: Vengeance has received generally positive reviews for critics and it holds a score of 83 out of 100 on Metacritic. [3]Pocket Gamer 's Tracy Erickson praised the game's difficulty stating "Samurai II has a learning curve that initially seems steep, yet by exerting a high level of challenge early in the game, it better equips for tougher scenarios later down the line."
