John Morgan Roderick [1] (born September 13, 1968) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, podcaster, and politician. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band The Long Winters, was a touring member of the rock band Harvey Danger, and co-hosts the podcasts Roderick On The Line and Omnibus.
John Roderick (September 15, 1914 [1] – March 11, 2008) was an American journalist and foreign correspondent for the Associated Press news service.Roderick was best known for covering Mao Zedong and other Chinese Communist guerillas while living with them in a cave during the mid-1940s.

Western State Hurricanes was a short-lived Seattle-based indie rock band in the late 1990s.
