Service Pump & Supply (SPS) was established January 31, 1980, by Danny and Barbara Vance. [1] In a rented 2500 square ft. building in Barboursville, WV and with a ½ ton pick-up for sales calls and deliveries, the company's objective was to sell Stanco MSHA pumps and service other brands to the coal mines of southern West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky.
The company was founded in 1982 by Ken Hendricks and Diane Hendricks. It grew from a single store in Wisconsin to having over 700 branches in 49 states nationwide and sales of over 11 billion dollars. ABC Supply has expanded from its original business. [4] In early 2010, the company acquired Bradco Supply, its largest acquisition to date. [5]
