The Pakistan Penal Code (Urdu: مجموعہ تعزیرات پاکستان; Majmū'ah-yi ta'zīrāt-i Pākistān), abbreviated as PPC, is a penal code for all offences charged in Pakistan. It was originally prepared by Lord Macaulay with a great consultation in 1860 on behalf of the Government of British India as the Indian Penal Code .
The Code also punishes any act of rape with death or imprisonment, not less than ten years depending on the ‘severity’ of the case. Section 376 states that if and when the act of rape is committed by two or more individuals with common intention like gang rapes the criminals should meet the fate of death or life imprisonment.
The 19th Amendment has taken powers from the Chief Justice of Pakistan for the appointment of ad hoc judges and transferred them to the Judicial Commission [3] of Pakistan (JCP). The President will now carry out the appointments on the recommendation of the JCP, under the new law 4 instead of 2 most senior judges will be appointed in the JCP.

The founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah had a vision regarding the law of Pakistan, to implement a system in accordance to Islamic teachings, but it was never fulfilled, although it was fulfilled at the later stage when Pakistan had its first constitution in 1956. This vision, however, did have a lasting effect on later Pakistani lawmakers.

Short title and commencement: This Act may be called the Constitution (Twenty First Amendment) Act, 2015. It shall come into force at once. The provisions of this Amendment Act shall remain in force for a period of two years from the date of its commencement and shall cease to form part of the Constitution and shall stand repealed on the expiration of the said period.
