Footdee (/ f ʊ t ˈ d iː /), locally known as Fittie, is a picturesque area of Aberdeen, Scotland. A former fishing village, it lies at the entrance to Aberdeen Harbour. The name appears to mean "foot of the Dee", but it has also been linked to Fittick, a local saint. [1] Footdee is mentioned in sources from the 14th century onwards. [2]
Cove Bay, known locally as Cove, is a suburb on the south-east edge of Aberdeen, Scotland. Today Cove is home to around 8,000 people. It is a popular residential location owing to its village-like status. It is a quiet suburb at the Southern edge of Aberdeen City and in 2020 won the Silver Gilt award for Scotland in Bloom.
