Acoustic guitars can be connected to the game with the optional AcoustiLink adapter. The game also supports two types of gameplay for vocals using the optional MicFuse USB microphone (Rock Band and Guitar Hero video game microphones are also compatible). The game works with all standard electric guitars and basses.
The game contains cartoon-ized artwork consisting of drawn backgrounds with embedded video sequences played by actors.
