Walsall (/ ˈ w ɔː l s ɔː l / ⓘ, or / ˈ w ɒ l s ɔː l /; locally / ˈ w ɔː s ʊ l /) is a market town and administrative centre of the borough of the same name in the West Midlands, England.
With the expansion of the Football League after World War I, Walsall became a founding member of the Third Division North in 1921 and have remained a Football League side ever since. Walsall's highest "home" attendance was set in 1930, when they played in of front of 74,646 fans in a 3–1 defeat to Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round. [4]

Walsall Aerodrome, also known as Walsall Airport, Walsall Municipal Airport, and later as Walsall Aldridge Airport was an airport at Aldridge, Staffordshire, England, serving the town of Walsall, north Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield (Aldridge is now part of Walsall, and in the West Midlands county).
