Grazalema is a village located in the northeastern part of the province of Cádiz, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Situated in the foothills of the Sierra del Pinar mountain range ( Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park ), Grazalema had, as of 2009, a population of 2,205.
"El Pinsapar" [1] is a notable forest located within the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia, southern Spain. It is distinguished for its status as one of the last remaining habitats of the Spanish Fir (Abies pinsapo), a rare and endangered conifer species endemic to the Iberian Peninsula and northern Morocco.
The Puerto de las Palomas is a mountain pass in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, on the CA-9104 road connecting Grazalema and Zahara de la Sierra villages. There are great views from it, and there's a nice hiking path to see the northern part of provinces of Cadiz and Málaga as well as the southern part of the Seville one.
The entire province had a population of 1,245,960 (as of 2021), of whom about 600,000 live in the Bay of Cádiz area (including Jerez), making it the third most populous province in Andalusia. Its population density is 167.93 per square kilometre.
