This worked for me. I disconnected printer from laptop (USB), executed the download, program told me to connect printer, and it was done. Took about 15 seconds. This is actually HP's Windows 8 driver. If you want to download it from a more trustworthy source:
This is very disappointing on two levels. Microsoft recommended the update for my HP Pavilion 360 laptop. Said my computer was compatible. Somehow they missed the audio compatibility?? Kinda important for someone who uses this for video production. HP has already abandoned support on this two year old machine.

The HP representative did say that (as of 1/22/2023) there is *no* HP software driver for the built-in webcam for HP Envy laptops. (Therefore we cannot upgrade to windows 11 22H2 at this time...) Side-Note: Lenovo seems to have published a new driver for their internal Webcam for windows 11 22H2, so, I am hopeful that HP will be doing the same ...
