Syed Ali Jawad Zaidi (10 March 1916 – 6 December 2004) was an Indian Urdu poet, scholar, and author of over 80 books in several languages. [1] He was also an Indian independence activist, [2] lawyer and later a civil servant, [3] but is best known for his work in Urdu literature.
The Urdu alphabet (Urdu: اُردُو حُرُوفِ تَہَجِّی, romanized: urdū ḥurūf-i tahajjī) is the right-to-left alphabet used for writing Urdu. It is a modification of the Persian alphabet , which itself is derived from the Arabic script .
He was a polyglot & wrote poetry in Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi and Persian. He authored 36 books on Islam, the Quran, Hadith and Fiqh and the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
