Hallowed Ground is the second studio album by Violent Femmes, released on May 14, 1984. [4] Like the band's first album, the songs were mostly written by singer/guitarist/lyricist Gordon Gano when he was in high school.
After their debut album Violent Femmes, the band released Hallowed Ground, which moved the group toward a country music sound and introduced Christian themes.
