The Nashville Commercial Historic District encompasses much of the historic downtown commercial area of Nashville, Arkansas, and the major commercial center in Howard County. It is centered at the junction of Main and Howard Streets, extending eastward along East Howard, and north and south along Main Street for about one block.
U.S. Route 70 (US 70) runs east–west through across the heart of Arkansas for 287.2 miles (462.2 km). US 70 enters the state from Oklahoma west of De Queen, and exits to Tennessee at Memphis, running concurrently with Interstate 55 (I-55), US 61, US 64, US 78, and US 79.
U.S. Highway 278 (US 278) runs west-east across the southern half of Arkansas for 258.8 miles (416.5 km). US 278 originates at a junction with U.S. Routes 59 and 71 in the town of Wickes and exits into Mississippi on the Greenville Bridge over the Mississippi River northeast of Shives, running concurrently with US 82.
