The Jabodebek LRT, formerly known as Greater Jakarta LRT is a light rapid transit system in Greater Jakarta, [4] [5] [6] the capital city of Indonesia, as well as the adjacent areas of West Java, [7] within the Jakarta Metropolitan area.
On October 11, 2019, the first train of Jabodebek LRT arrived in Jakarta. The shipment was carried out by land directly from INKA factory in Madiun , East Java. For the time being, the train has been parked near Harjamukti Station; considering that the LRT depot construction in Jatimulya, Bekasi has not yet been completed.
The groundbreaking of the Jakarta LRT was previously planned to be held in conjunction with the Greater Jakarta LRT groundbreaking in September 2015. The Jakarta LRT groundbreaking was held on 22 June 2016, coinciding with the 489th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta.
