This is an episode list for Kevin Sullivan's Road to Avonlea. The series began airing on CBC on January 7, 1990, in Canada, and on March 5, 1990 on The Disney Channel in the United States. Later seasons of the show focused more on residents of Avonlea who were connected to the King family. Sarah Polley left the show in 1994, returning for a guest appearance in the sixth season as well as the series finale episode. Following the series proper, a reunion TV movie called An Avonlea Christmas was produced in 1998.
Her Canadian career was namely in television, but she worked briefly at the Stratford Festival from 1989 to 1990. She won a Gemini Award in 1997 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series in Road to Avonlea, [3] and a Gemini nomination in 1989 for Best Guest Performance in a Series by an Actor or Actress in Night Heat.
Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) shown on CBC, a live-action television spin-off series based upon characters and episodes from several of L.M. Montgomery's other books. Anne herself never appears but other characters from the previous two films are included, and the series is set within the same continuity as Sullivan's 1980s miniseries.
