Dream Machine is a 1991 American comedy thriller film, starring Corey Haim, Brittney Lewis and Randall England. The screenplay was written by Eric Hendershot and based on the old urban legend of a wife selling off a Porsche for a suspiciously low price to get revenge on a cheating husband. The film was released direct-to-video in 1991.
FremantleMedia released six Region 0 DVDs in 2001 through 2003, featuring 6-8 random episodes in each set. In September 2006, Fremantle Media released a further six DVDs, making all episodes available on DVD, and a 25th Anniversary 12-Disc DVD box set.
The show began and ended with patriotic marching music and red, white, and blue GREAT AMERICAN DREAM MACHINE lettering, striped like an American flag. There was an animated "machine" of sorts, with complex moving parts, that had no evident function. The title theme was composed and performed by Steve Katz of Blood, Sweat & Tears fame.
