The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.It was co-hosted by Cricket West Indies and USA Cricket from 1 to 29 June 2024. The tournament was hosted by the West Indies for the second time, and was the first major ICC tournament to feature matches played in the United States.
The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup group stage was played from 1 to 17 June 2024, between 20 teams in four groups of five with each team facing the other teams in the group for a total of 40 matches across 6 venues in the West Indies and 3 venues in the United States.
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup, formerly the ICC World Twenty20, is a biennial world cup tournament of Cricket in T20 format, organised by the International Cricket Council. It was held in every odd year from 2007 to 2009 , and since 2010 has been held in every even year with the exception of 2018 and 2020.

This year's T20 World Cup is USA Cricket's first time qualifying after receiving an automatic bid for hosting. The 2024 T20 tournament is jointly hosted by the U.S. and the West Indies.
The 2024 Women's T20 World Cup was held in October 2024 in the United Arab Emirates. [5] The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is taking place in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates in February and March 2025. [6] In addition to the matches shown here, a number of other T20I series involving associate nations will be played during this period.
United States qualified for their maiden T20 World Cup in 2024 as co-hosts along with West Indies. The team successfully made it past the group stage to reach the Super 8 stage, during the group stage they managed to tie the match against Pakistan which they moved on to win in the super over.
