The film Palè Myetyay (Tear of Pearl), produced in the wake of the Kuomintang invasion of Burma in the 1950s, highlighted the importance of the armed forces or Tatmadaw to the country.
Nya (Burmese: ည 'Night') is a Burmese film created by director Htoo Paing Zaw Oo with the starring Myat Noe Aye, Agung Bagus, Aung Ye Htike, Russell, and Moe Ya Thaw. The film was screened in Myanmar cinemas on 28 July 2017 and re-screened on JCVG cinemas on 18 April 2018 [note 1] which ended up as one of the highest-grossing films in Myanmar that year.
