The Rabbit Hutch is a 2022 debut novel by American novelist Tess Gunty and winner of the 2022 National Book Award for Fiction. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Gunty also won the inaugural Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize [ 3 ] [ 4 ] and the Barnes & Noble Discover Award for the novel.
Gunty's first novel, The Rabbit Hutch, was published by Knopf on August 2, 2022, and was awarded the National Book Award for Fiction in November 2022. [9] [3] It received generally favorable reviews from critics. [10] [11] The novel also received the inaugural Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize. [12]
