First, the known ways Opera makes money: 1- every default search done on Google appears to be a Google partner link. So (we assume), Opera is getting 1) a partner fee for google to appear as the default engine in Opera and 2) they get about 1 penny for every 10 searches performed by Opera on Google
opera for privacy is really bad in my opinion, and in my opinion it is a not really good browser, still better than chrome though, and opera gx is pretty good for gamers but personally dont really like it even though im a gamer, fun fact opera gx gets most of its profits from their users data, and the vpn in opera is actually more like a proxy and their proxy is bad for privacy as well, if you ...
Opera, in terms of usability, is actually a good browser. Vivaldi, whose founder & current ceo used to be a co-founder and CEO of Opera in days long gone, is also a good browser for "power users." The issue people have with Opera is that a Chinese consortium owns a lot of the company, which they think is a cause for concern from a privacy ...
Any clean web browser installation can be faster than one that has a lot of caches, extensions, cookies, etc. But yeah, Opera tends to use less RAM than chrome Inbuilt VPN and Ad-blocker I wouldn't recommend Opera's VPN. It's slow, and it works only on the browser.
Opera is now up to version 22.0, so far beyond the maximum supported version of 12. So, my questions are: - If there is no Opera driver for Selenium, then how does one automate Opera tests? It seems strange to stop at version 12, even taking the underlying technology change into account.
Opera is the type of browser that already comes with that all-in-one package ready to use, currently it has gained space even especially on mobile, Chrome despite the massive hegemony still persists it is kind of monotonous for many, opera attacks this with its high customization, it still has the possibility of using extensions as well, The only setback I see is related to privacy, because as ...
Opera GX is just an older version of Opera Stable with some extra built-in component extensions and some extra features. In general, they should run about the same. Or, Opera GX should be a little slower just because of the older version of Chromium used and the added features using more resources. In general, you shouldn't see much difference.
Why Opera Browser Look and Feel / UI is not user friendly customizable. ? The new version is good and different. But if it has customization with CSS / flags setting, it would be more usable. eg;-> Title bar / Address bar - UI customization is not there. Pl. suggest any tweaks on this. Thanks KSK. I have been using firefox for like ten years, mostly because of containers (multiple accounts made easy and separates my cookies), simple tab groups extension (for organisation and puts unused tabs to sleep if they are in an inactive group, roughly), Dark Background extension (for custom color per website), passwords and bookmark sync with mobile and most importantly, uBlock Origin.
