I have always kept the rope attached on the climb up and down with my Lone Wolf. My big mistake was not re-attaching the rope. After all I have climbed down hundreds of trees without incident in the years I have owned the stand. I am always aware of the dangers of hunting out of trees and deal with it accordingly.

I have a lone wolf hand climber combo. Super light and a hell of a lot easier to pack in vs a summit. It packs very flat. Problem is that it's a hand climber and may be tougher for her to climb with vs something like a summit where you sit and climb. Just an option.

Paul the Lone wolf stand I got has a whole new comfy seat that is full of padding and the stand is very lite. 18lbs total. As for Woods and Waters I am still going to become a dealer I am working on setting up an online archery store. I bought the Summit Viper Classic and it weighed 26lbs was crazy heavy.
