Harrison Hall is an academic building on the campus of Miami University housing the Department of Political Science and the Center for Public Management and Regional Affairs. [1] [2] It replaced an earlier building on the site built in 1818 and demolished in 1958.

[ 2 ] [ 9 ] MacCracken was born in Oxford, Ohio on September 28, 1840, and he entered Miami University in 1852, when he was only 12 years old. [ 9 ]
Robert Hamilton Bishop was the first President of Miami University (1824-1841). He also served as a Professor of Logic and Moral Philosophy and History. Bishop was admired by the students, but fell into much disagreement over many issues with the trustees, faculty, and public which led him to resign.
Elliott was a professor at Miami University between 1849 and 1863. He was a professor of Logic and Greek Language and Literature. He received his education from a number of schools including Lafayette College, Ohio University, Hanover College, and Princeton Theological Seminary. He died in 1892 at the age of 77. [6]

It also provided for a place for social activities, as it had a men's auditorium, Y.M.C.A. quarters, game rooms, and a number of conference rooms, in addition to housing 114 men. [ 4 ] Ogden Hall was designed by Dittoe, Fahnestock & Ferber Architects and cost $330,000.00 to build in 1924.
