It was the first Art Nouveau style worldwide, and it represents the evolution of the Arts and Crafts movement which was native to Great Britain.
Liberty style (Italian: stile Liberty [ˈstiːle ˈliːberti]) was the Italian variant of Art Nouveau, which flourished between about 1890 and 1914.It was also sometimes known as stile floreale ("floral style"), arte nuova ("new art"), or stile moderno ("modern style" not to be confused with the Spanish variant of Art Nouveau which is Art Nouveau in Madrid).
In architecture and decorative art, ornament is decoration used to embellish parts of a building or object. Large figurative elements such as monumental sculpture and their equivalents in decorative art are excluded from the term; most ornaments do not include human figures, and if present they are small compared to the overall scale.
