YTS.mx, like with other yts clones, just give you mp4s which afaik don't/can't have viruses.
Nothing about YIFY is official anymore. YIFY retired in 2014 and the site was later renamed to YTS presumably under different administration. The official site went offline just a year later. Every YTS since then seems to be copycats. As a side note, YTS sold out some of its users to law enforcement.
Yts.mx is the correct URL. I love how this site has such a large collection of films available (over 35,000) and that there's an API. I managed to download the .torrent files for the best quality version of each film and bulk download them all on my NAS Server.
Well, then it's a shitty website and I'd take my time looking for a better alternative. Had used their site once begore when it was psarips, and it absolutely outright sucks. But when they want you to allow them continue bombarding you with ads, FUCK EM.
(The fake) YTS hasn’t now just been proven to be evil, they have always had absolutely no ethics from the very beginning. The actual YTS/YIFY was shut down by the MPAA in 2015. Their most recent domain, yts(dot)to, now will redirect you to the MPAA’s website. YTS was an actual good site, but it hasn’t actually existed since 2015.
YTS is the smallest file size which is still acceptable. Also I made it so my mom can add movies to her IMDB watchlist, and radar will auto download them. My mom wants to download tons of terrible hallmark type movies, and she’ll request like 10-20 movies a month. I set all her movies to try and download from YTS first to save space.
A lot people doesn't trust the New YTS because they are dead . it doesn't mean like that , although this new Yts team is fake from EZTV although they are p2p groups uploading Tv series and They managed yify , although I've been downloading yify since the original shut down because I don't have any big storage to store movies I have 256 GB only , a huge changes from Yts for years like the audio ...
EZTV.io hijacked the original EZTV group years ago and in 2015 started promoting the new YTS site after the official YTS group shut down. It wasn’t entirely clear if the two were connected but when the EZTV bot started uploading YTS releases to 1337x yesterday the site’s staff knew enough.
Unfortunately YTS only started to use 5.1 in 1080p recently, so older releases use stereo AAC at 128 kbps, which even then are better than the old YIFY rips. So I hope this information is somewhat useful and certain people understand that YTS is an actually acceptable choice for what they offer if people want to consume these rips.
