Great Passion is a 1497–1510 series of eleven woodcuts plus a frontispiece by Albrecht Dürer. Its title distinguishes it from his later Small Passion . One of the best surviving sets is now in the Albertina in Vienna.
Other works from this period include the thirty-seven Little Passion woodcuts, published in 1511, and a set of fifteen small engravings on the same theme in 1512. Complaining that painting did not make enough money to justify the time spent when compared to his prints, [ 25 ] he produced no paintings from 1513 to 1516.
