Johnson was inspired to learn traditional and contemporary jazz music by observing other musicians, including musicians Joe Sample and Thelonious Monk. [4]
Vaughn Wiester (born July 11, 1945) is an American jazz musician and educator. He leads his own big band, the 22-piece Famous Jazz Orchestra. The FJO plays every Monday night at the Woman's Club near the Park of Roses in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio.
