Oct 8, 2015. @Foodnerd81: The first week or two he was pretty distracted with all the visitors but then yeah from about weeks 2-6 he was pretty clingy, acting like the baby or acting out while I was nursing. Then something clicked and it was like he decided to be a big boy again and we were good. Foodnerd81.

but, i think the technical name is preschooler. early childhood (education wise) refers to birth-5 years, so to me that sounds more like school-related than preschooler. I still can't get over the fact that my daughter is considered a toddler when in my eyes she's still a baby! @prettylizy: I LOVE this suggestion.

Toddler won't sit in shopping cart. By skipper2010 Sep 9, 2015. Ugh it's become nearly impossible to get any sort of shopping done with my wildly independent two year old. As soon as he gets in the shopping cart it's "mama out" and when I don't take him out he stands straight up despite being buckled in. My old go-to's of distracting him with ...

    boards.hellobee.com/topic/response-to-older-sibling-wanting-to-be-the-baby

So, generally speaking, I highly recommend the book Siblings Without Rivalry - it’s a great, quick read. With our 4 year old, I try to be accommodating of her need for attention- “are you pretending to be a baby because you think we’re only paying attention to the baby?” “Do you want to go in the stroller because the baby is going in the strolle
