Saint James Capua Hospital is a private hospital located in Sliema, Malta. The hospital was founded in 1996 as the Capua Palace Hospital, named for the Palazzo Capua on whose former gardens the hospital was constructed. St. Nicholas Hospital is a private hospital located in Lagos Island in Lagos, Nigeria. It was founded in 1968 by Moses Majekodunmi. The hospital is in a building of the same name located at 57 Campbell Street near Catholic Mission Street. It has other facilities at different locations in Nigeria.
The hospital saw much use mainly during the Napoleonic Wars, the Crimean War and the First World War. In fact, by World War I, Malta was known as the 'Nurse of the Mediterranean'. Between 1863 and 1865 more alterations were made to improve the building. The Station Hospital was brought to an end in 1918, by the conclusion of the Great War. [10]
