Charleswood is a residential community and neighbourhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Situated in the southwest of the city, it is bordered by the neighbourhoods of Tuxedo to the east, Whyte Ridge to the south, and the Rural Municipality of Headingley to the west.
The riding was created in 1996 as "Charleswood—Assiniboine" from the Winnipeg—St. James riding. In 1998, it was renamed "Charleswood—St. James—Assiniboia". In 2003, it was abolished, but the entire district was transferred to "Charleswood—St. James", and small parts of Winnipeg Centre and Winnipeg South Centre were added.

Vialoux is a residential suburban neighbourhood in Charleswood, Winnipeg. It is bordered by the Assiniboine River to the North, Assiniboine Park to the East, Roblin Boulevard to the South, and the Charleswood Parkway to the West. Vialoux is part of the Assiniboine South Neighbourhood Cluster.

The Moray Street south extension and Charleswood Bridge, the original part of Route 96, were built in 1995. The William R. Clement Parkway, originally known as the Charleswood Parkway, opened in 2002. The Charleswood Bridge and Parkway were renamed after the late Charleswood city councillor Bill Clement in 2010. [3] [4]
