Loughborough University (abbreviated as Lough or Lboro for post-nominals) [8] [9] is a public research university in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It has been a university since 1966, but it dates back to 1909, when Loughborough Technical Institute was founded.

Robert John Allison CBE DL (born 4 February 1961) is a British academic. Professor Allison has held senior leadership roles in a number of top UK universities. Currently a Non-Executive Director, Trustee and Chair of several organisations, [1] Allison was previously the Vice-Chancellor and President of Loughborough University.
Rachel Clare Thomson FREng FIMMM is a professor of Materials Science and Engineering, and Pro Vice Chancellor of Teaching [3] [1] [4] at Loughborough University.She is known for her expertise [1] in measuring and predicting the behaviour of materials for high temperature power generation, as well as the development of higher education and research programmes.
Nicholas Robert Jennings is a British computer scientist who was appointed Vice-Chancellor and President of Loughborough University in 2021. [3] He was previously the Vice-Provost for Research and Enterprise at Imperial College London, the UK's first Regius Professor of Computer Science, and the inaugural Chief Scientific Adviser to the UK Government on National Security.
