Pasquotank County (PAS-kwoh-tayngk / ˈ p æ s. k w oʊ. t eɪ ŋ k / ⓘ) [2] is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census , the population was 40,568. [ 3 ] Its county seat is Elizabeth City .
The department was equipped with a computer system to host an integrated records database and collect and process taxes electronically in the 1990s; computerization was completed by 1997. [ 3 ] [ 5 ] In January 2011 a Local Government Division was created in the department to advise local governments' tax collection, auditing, and other processes.
