Harris Dining Hall – also known simply as Harris Hall- was named after Andrew Lintner Harris and was one of the many dining facilities located on the campus at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Since 1961, it was the main all-you-can-eat dining hall for undergraduate students who live on the southern side of the campus.
Miami University's main campus is in Oxford, Ohio; the city is in the Miami Valley in southwestern Ohio about 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Cincinnati and 35 miles (56 km) southwest of Dayton. Oxford is a college town , with over 70% of the residents attending college or graduate school.
In 1923 Laura Ogden Whaling donated $430,000 to Miami University to build a hall of residence in her brother's honor. Her brother, George C. Ogden, graduated from Miami in 1863 and went on to receive his medical degree from the Ohio Medical College. [1]
