According to the link Jim Dixon provided to the Songs of Faith and Praise hymnal, it appears that the words were written by James Rowe, and the music by S.A. Ganus. The song was published in 1916. 1923 is the cutoff date for public domain, so it appears that this song is indeed in the public domain.
This is a link to your example: Cyber Hymnal Hi Warren, having looked at the link, I found the song but there is no long slur like the one I attached. Is the result of sound the same?.
