Beginner (formerly Absolute Beginner [a]) is a German rap group from Hamburg, consisting of Jan Delay (aka Eizi Eiz/Eißfeldt), Denyo and DJ Mad. Their fourth album, Advanced Chemistry , was released in August 2016.
Lisk started his music career in the 1990s in the band formation Absolute Beginner (later just Beginner) that released three albums, Flashnizm (1996), Bambule (1998) and Blast Action Heroes (2003). The latter, their most successful, peaked at #1 in German Albums Chart and reached #3 in the Ö3 Austria Top 40 Albums Chart.
In 1999, Jan Delay with Denyo and Beginner covered "Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann" for the compilation album Das gibt's nur einmal of the TV project Pop 2000 by ARD and Viva. Just like the original this cover was also successful in Germany. Unlike the original, this version contains a rap verse.
