The 1970 Fort Scott Greyhounds football team won the junior college national championship. Fort Scott terminated its football program after the 2021 season. The administration cited rules changes concerning out-of-state roster limits and scholarship funding that were enacted in 2016 among the reasons for cutting the program. [2]
The Fort Scott Giants were a minor league baseball team based in Fort Scott, Kansas. From 1901 to 1905, Fort Scott teams played as a member of the Missouri Valley League, before joining the 1906 Kansas State League. The 1901 team was known as the Fort Scott "Memphis Route."

This is for players of the Fort Scott Giants minor league baseball team, that played in the Missouri Valley League and Kansas State League from 1902-1906.
Fort Scott Community College's mascot is Gizmo the Greyhound. The school colors are maroon and gray. FSCC sponsors volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball programs which compete in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, which is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
