At first they told me that CableCards were no longer offered, but when I said I was leaving I got the "Let me check with by back-end support.).
As you can see, it is a PDI-8 which was installed by the Verizon tech that did the coax connection at the ONT (and brought the cablecards) and is rated from 5 to 1675 MHz. Each port of an 8 way splitter introduces 12.5db of attenuation, so I have a total of 18.5db attenuation between my ONT and the TiVos (plus whatever the cable adds).
Verizon 100% supports CC for new and existing customers. Any statements to the contrary are just plain wrong. Order service. They send you a card. You insert the card and either call or use self service website to activate card. It couldn’t be simpler. Fios is the model of how cc was meant to work all along.

Before ordering I called Verizon to make sure I could still get a cablecard, since the original one was taken away by the FIOS+ installer. The phone agent said they no longer offer the service….but I kept pressing, including the fact that my husband couldn’t use the remote and that their accessibility access was a real problem.
Verizon is moving away from cable cards and offering streaming options to new customers. My brother just signed up for Verizon and there is no longer coax and cable box being offered. It's a streaming box. Do a Google search on the subject and there's a lot of discussion that supports Verizon moving away from their current system of cable card use.
V52 & V58 Issues with Verizon. I have had my Roamio Plus with Verizon Fios for several years. Things have run smoothly until recently. There are currently two HD channels that receive V52 (Searching for Signal) errors (both are in my subscription, and one works in SD). TiVo shows no signal lock on either.
TiVo and FiOS go together like peanut butter and jelly. Roamio is an even better match. The only recent issues I've seen with the Roamio and FiOS were with pairing for HBO/Cinemax. TiVo has updated the software to correct the problem, and if you have trouble just remember the magic words "manually validate."
