Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) is a grassroots, non-profit health sciences university established in 2005 by a group of visionary community leaders in Washington’s fertile Yakima Valley.
PNWU’s DPT program will partner with numerous hospitals, clinics, and health agencies in the five-state Northwest region to provide students with clinical experiences, as well as regional graduate health science programs to provide a cross-discipline interprofessional learning environment.
The PNWU School of Dental Medicine (SDM) is the newest dental school in the Pacific Northwest. The College of Osteopathic Medicine is based in Yakima, in the heart of Central Washington characterized by medically underserved and rural populations. When its doors opened in 2008, it was the Pacific Northwest’s first medical school in 60 years.
